The Revvi 16" Plus is the upgraded version of the standard Revvi 16 — same 24V 250W brushless motor, same 5.2Ah battery, same three speed modes (8 / 10 / 12 mph), same age range (4–7) — but stepped up where it matters for harder use. A front suspension fork replaces the rigid steel fork on the standard 16, a rear disc brake replaces the drum, and metal spoked wheels replace the composite rims. The Pro Throttle adds a battery-level indicator and smoother power delivery. The pick when your child rides regularly, on rougher ground, or you want a bike that'll last through a sibling or two without falling apart.

What makes this different (vs the standard Revvi 16) Front suspension fork (vs rigid) · Rear disc brake (vs drum) · Metal spoked wheels (vs composite rims) · Pro Throttle with battery-level indicator · Same motor, battery, speeds, ride times and charge time as the standard 16 · Same age range (4–7)

For ages 4–7 · Adult supervision required The Revvi 16 Plus is a children's electric ride-on bike, not a road-legal vehicle. It's for use on private land, in private gardens, or on private trails — never on public roads, pavements or cycle paths. Adult supervision is required at all times. We strongly recommend a properly fitted helmet and protective gear.

FAQ

Is it road-legal? No. The Revvi 16 Plus is a children's ride-on toy, not a road-legal vehicle. Use it on private land — gardens, private trails, parks where private use is permitted. Don't ride it on public roads, pavements, cycle paths or in shopping centres.

What age does it suit? Same as the standard Revvi 16 — designed for ages 4–7. The seat adjusts from 43 cm to 50 cm, fitting most riders 105–130 cm tall. Maximum rider weight is 40 kg.

How does it compare to the standard Revvi 16? Same motor (24V 250W brushless), same battery (5.2Ah), same speeds (8/10/12 mph), same ride times, same charge time. The Plus adds three things: a front suspension fork (the standard 16 is rigid), a rear disc brake (the standard 16 has a drum), and metal spoked wheels (the standard 16 has composite rims). Also a "Pro Throttle" with a battery-level indicator. About 1 kg heavier (12 vs 11 kg) — the upgrades come with a small weight cost.

Why pick the Plus over the standard 16? Three reasons. First, riding comfort: the front suspension makes a real difference on gravel, grass, dirt, or anywhere the ground isn't perfectly smooth. Second, brake feel: a disc brake gives finer modulation than a drum and stops better in the wet. Third, durability: metal spoked wheels survive abuse better than composite rims, and parents whose kids ride regularly will get more years out of the Plus before something needs replacing.

How does it compare to the Revvi 18? The 18 is a different category — for ages 8–12, with a 36V 500W motor, full suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, 19 mph top speed. The 16 Plus is for younger riders (4–7) and tops out at 12 mph. Pick the Plus if your child is 4–7 but you want better build quality. Pick the 18 if your child has already outgrown a smaller bike and is ready for serious off-road performance.

What does the "Pro Throttle" actually do? Two things: it shows the battery level on the throttle housing so you know when you're running low, and it delivers power more smoothly than a basic on/off throttle. Most kids won't notice, but parents will when they don't have to ask "is it dead?" three times an afternoon.

How does the free-wheel mode work? Same as the standard 16. Switch the power off and the rear wheel runs free, just like a conventional balance bike. Useful for children still learning to balance, or on days you'd rather they got the leg work without the throttle.

Can the speed be limited? Yes — the rider mode dial caps top speed at the selected level. Parents can set it to mode 1 (8 mph) and leave it there until the child is ready to step up.

How long does it run for? Same as the standard 16 — around 1h 25min in slow, 1h 5min in medium, 50 minutes in fast. Real-world play time is usually longer because children stop and start.

How long does it take to charge? 5.5–6 hours from empty.

Does it have rear suspension? No — only front. The 16 Plus is one step up from rigid, not full suspension. If you want full suspension at this size, the Revvi 18 is the next option (different age range though).

How heavy is it for a child to lift back up after a fall? 12 kg — slightly heavier than the standard 16 (11 kg), but most 5-year-olds and above can right it themselves.

How does it arrive? Mostly assembled. Handlebars and any final tightening with the included tools — about 10–15 minutes from box to first ride.

Can I buy a spare battery? Yes — Revvi sells a higher-capacity upgrade battery. Contact us if you'd like one added to your order.
