The Kukirin G2 is the everyday commuter in the Kukirin range — 800W single rear-motor, 30 mph capable, 34-mile range, and a 26 kg folding frame that fits in a car boot or hallway cupboard. The 2026 revision adds a front fender to the existing rear one, so neither you nor the scooter ends up plastered after a wet ride. Indicators front and back, a brake-flash taillight, and front + rear disc brakes round out the spec — sensible safety features at a price most rivals don't match.

FAQ

Can I ride it on the road? No. UK law currently makes privately-owned e-scooters illegal on roads, pavements and cycle lanes — regardless of speed or power. Ride only on private land where you have the landowner's permission.

How fast does it really go? Up to 28 mph with an average rider on level ground. Lighter riders may see slightly more, hills will reduce it. The display lets you cap the top speed in software if you'd prefer to limit it for newer riders.

What's the real-world range? 34 miles is the manufacturer figure at mid-speed and 65 kg load. Hard riding in mode 3 with hills and stop-start use will bring it closer to 18–22 miles, which is normal for a 720 Wh battery.

How long does charging take? 8–9 hours from empty using the included charger. Faster aftermarket chargers exist but reduce battery life — stick with the supplied one.

How does the folding work? A latch at the base of the stem releases — push the stem forward and it locks down to the deck for carrying or storage. About 5 seconds, no tools.

Is it suitable for new riders? Yes. The lower mode caps assistance at 15.5 mph, which is a sensible starting point. Step up to mode 3 once you're comfortable. Always wear a helmet.

What happens if I get a puncture? The 10" tyres are vacuum (tubeless), which means slower deflation than tubed tyres and easier repair with a plug kit. Tyres aren't covered by warranty — they're consumables.

What's new in this revision? A front fender now ships pre-fitted in addition to the rear fender. Everything else carries over from the previous G2.
