Revvi 16" Kids Electric Balance Bike – 36V
The Revvi 16" is the next step up from the Revvi 12 — same DNA (chain drive, drum brake, aluminium frame, free-wheel mode) but stepped up across the board for older or taller children. 16" knobbly tyres on composite rims, a 24V 250W brushless motor with more than double the power of the 12, a doubled battery at 5.2Ah, and three selectable speed modes (8 / 10 / 12 mph) so the bike grows with the rider's confidence. Designed for ages 4–7, with a 40 kg max rider weight. The free-wheel rear lets the bike work as a conventional balance bike with the power off, just like the smaller version.

FAQ
Is it road-legal? No. The Revvi 16 is a children's ride-on toy, not a road-legal vehicle. Use it on private land — gardens, private trails, parks where private use is permitted. Don't ride it on public roads, pavements, cycle paths or in shopping centres.
What age does it suit? Designed for ages 4–7. The seat adjusts from 43 cm to 50 cm, fitting most riders 105–130 cm tall. Some 8-year-olds will still fit comfortably, others will be ready for a Revvi 18. Maximum rider weight is 40 kg.
How does it compare to the Revvi 12? Bigger wheels (16" vs 12"), more powerful motor (250W brushless vs 100W brushed), exactly double the battery (5.2 vs 2.6 Ah), three speed modes (8/10/12 mph vs two on the 12), and a 40 kg max load (vs 30 kg). About 2 kg heavier. Pick the 12 for ages 2–6 learning to ride; pick the 16 once they've outgrown the 12 or you're starting a slightly older child off.
Why three speed modes instead of two? The 16 is for older children who'll grow with the bike over a couple of years. Mode 1 (8 mph) is sensible for a 4-year-old discovering the throttle. Mode 2 (10 mph) for a confident 5- or 6-year-old. Mode 3 (12 mph) for an experienced 7-year-old. The middle gear means you don't have to jump straight from cautious to flat-out as the rider improves.
How does the free-wheel mode work? Switch the power off and the rear wheel runs free, just like a conventional balance bike. Useful for children still learning to balance, or on days you'd rather they got the leg work without the throttle. Switching back to power is just turning the bike on.
Can the speed be limited? Yes — the rider mode dial caps top speed at the selected level. Parents can set it to mode 1 (8 mph) and leave it there until the child is ready to step up. Some parents tape the dial in place to stop curious fingers cycling through the modes.
How long does it run for? Around 1h 25min in slow mode, 1h 5min in medium, 50 minutes in fast. Real-world play time is usually longer because children stop, start, and switch off the throttle frequently. Battery is removable for indoor charging.
How long does it take to charge? 5.5–6 hours from empty — about double the Revvi 12's charge time, because the battery is exactly double the size. The included UK charger plugs into a standard mains socket.
What about the brake? Rear drum brake with a hand lever sized and tensioned for small hands. Drum brakes self-adjust as they wear and don't suffer the way disc or rim brakes can in muddy, gritty riding — sensible choice for a kids' bike that'll see real abuse.
Does it have suspension? No. The 16" knobbly tyres provide cushioning for grass, gravel, dirt and packed trails. Designed for casual riding rather than jumps or competitive trail riding.
How heavy is it for a child to lift back up after a fall? 11 kg is light for an electric ride-on. Most 5-year-olds and above can right it themselves; younger riders may need a hand from a parent.
How does it arrive? Mostly assembled. Handlebars and any final tightening with the included tools — about 10–15 minutes from box to first ride.
Can I buy a spare battery? Yes — Revvi sells a higher-capacity upgrade battery that doubles ride time again. Contact us if you'd like one added to your order.
