AOVO PRO ES MAX Electric Scooter – 500W 48V 15.6Ah 10”
The AOVOPRO ESMAX is the step-up in the AOVOPRO range — a 500W motor (vs 350W on the ES80/AP07), 10" tyres for a smoother ride, a bigger 14.5Ah battery good for up to 28 miles, and 30° climbing capability that beats most scooters in this price tier. Forged aluminium-alloy frame, dual suspension, front drum brake plus rear electronic, and a sine-wave controller for smooth acceleration and braking. App lock and full Tuya Smart control, 1-button operation, colourful LCD display, full-body waterproof design, and folds in three seconds. The pick when you want a properly capable AOVO without stepping up to the bigger Kukirin range.

FAQ
Can I ride it on the road? No. UK law currently makes privately-owned e-scooters illegal on roads, pavements and cycle lanes — regardless of speed or power. Ride only on private land where you have the landowner's permission.
How does it compare to the ES80 and AP07? The ESMAX is a clear step up. Bigger 500W motor (vs 350W), bigger 10" tyres (vs 8.5"), bigger 14.5Ah battery (vs 10.5Ah), 30° climbing (vs 20°), 28-mile range (vs 18-mile), and a sine-wave controller for smoother power delivery. About 6 kg heavier than the ES80/AP07. Pick the ES80/AP07 for the lightest, simplest commuter; pick the ESMAX for more range, more climbing, and a better ride on rougher surfaces.
What's a sine-wave controller? The motor controller determines how power is delivered to the wheel. Square-wave controllers (cheaper, used on most entry scooters) deliver power in chunks — accelerating and decelerating feels stepped. Sine-wave controllers (used on the ESMAX) deliver power smoothly — closer to a real throttle response. The result is less jerky riding, especially at low speeds and during regen braking.
How fast does it really go? Up to 15.5 mph at the default speed limit. The ESMAX has a manufacturer-set speed cap; some configurations let you adjust it via the app, but we ship and recommend it at the default 15.5 mph.
What's the real-world range? 28 miles is the manufacturer figure for an average rider on flat ground at moderate speed. Hills, full throttle, headwinds, and a heavier rider will reduce that — typical real-world is 18–22 miles per charge.
Can it really climb 30°? 30° is the manufacturer's headline figure with rider input. Real-world hill climbing depends on rider weight, battery state, and terrain — most UK roads max out at 14° (25%) so the ESMAX will get up anything you'll encounter. The 500W motor and sine-wave controller make hill starts much easier than on the entry-tier 350W scooters.
How does the app work? The ESMAX pairs to either the AOVOPRO app or Tuya Smart over Bluetooth. The app shows ride data (speed, distance, battery), lets you change settings, includes a remote lock that disables the scooter if it's moved, and toggles cruise mode. Both apps are free.
How does the app lock work? Arm the lock in the app — if anyone tries to ride the scooter while locked, the motor refuses to engage and the wheel locks up. Useful as a theft deterrent if you have to leave the scooter outside a shop or office briefly. Not a substitute for a proper physical lock.
How does the cruise mode work? Activate via the app or by holding throttle steady — the scooter holds that speed automatically. Release the throttle or touch the brake to disengage.
How does it fold? One-step 3-second fold — a single latch at the base of the stem. Push the stem forward and it locks down to the deck. Easier than the multi-step folds on most scooters.
How long does it take to charge? Around 6–7 hours from empty using the supplied 42V 2A charger. Bigger battery than the ES80/AP07 means slightly longer charge time.
Is it heavy? 18.5 kg — heavier than the ES80/AP07 (12 kg) but still lighter than most performance scooters. Manageable for most adults to carry up a single flight of stairs; awkward for long carries.
How does it compare to the Kukirin scooters? Different category. The Kukirin range (G2, G2 Pro, G2 Master, G3 Pro, G4) is performance and off-road — 28 to 43 mph, 600W to 2400W, 25 to 44 kg. The ESMAX is the upgrade pick within the AOVO entry-commuter range — 15.5 mph default, 500W, 18.5 kg, app-connected. Pick the AOVO if you want light and simple with proper range and climbing. Pick a Kukirin if you want serious speed.
How is it delivered? Pre-assembled and ready to ride out of the box. Just unfold, charge, and pair the app.
